Football Recap: Carrollwood Day Falls to Strawberry Crest in First Game of Season

Carrollwood Day unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Strawberry Crest Chargers on Tuesday, falling 28-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Zoe Surrency, who threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

Coming up, Carrollwood Day will host Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Strawberry Crest, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-6 loss against Plant on the 19th.
