Softball Recap: Plant Panthers vs. Gaither Cowboys

Plant proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 15) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Gaither Cowboys 3-2. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cowboys, too.

Plant got a great performance from Summer Wood as she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Wood has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Plant's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Olive Masters, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
