Soccer Game Preview: Lewis vs. West Potomac

The Lewis Lancers will square off against the West Potomac Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, Lewis and Wakefield finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The outcome might've been different if Giovanni Hernandez hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Jeremy Orellana and Hernandez scored both of Lewis' goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Meanwhile, West Potomac got the win against Mount Vernon on Thursday by a conclusive 5-1. West Potomac haven't had any issues with Mount Vernon recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

West Potomac's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. Lewis' draw makes their record 1-0-2 this season.

Lewis took their win against West Potomac in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Lewis repeat their success, or does West Potomac has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
