Basketball Recap: AJ Chang's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Morningside Academy over Sarasota Christian

Morningside Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 48-32 bruising from the Sarasota Christian Blazers. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was AJ Chang, who posted eight points and five boards. Chang is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Stephen Moss, who scored seven points and six rebounds.

Ben Milliken was his usual excellent self, putting up 24 points and six boards for Sarasota Christian. Justin Brock was another key player, earning six points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Morningside Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Sarasota Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Morningside Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 38-30 win against Cambridge Christian on the 18th. As for Sarasota Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-32 defeat against Cornerstone Charter Academy on the 18th.
