William Byrd's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cave Spring Knights 64-31. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-7.

William Byrd's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Logan Andrews led the charge by shooting 55% from the field on her way to 19 points along with six steals and five assists. Skye Williams was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

The victory got William Byrd back to even at 1-1. As for Cave Spring, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

William Byrd and Christiansburg will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cave Spring, they will head out to square off against Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
