Football Recap: Bishop England Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Bishop England finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a blow against the Hilton Head Island Seahawks, falling 41-10. The game marked the Battling Bishops' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Quinn Mahoney threw for 157 yards on 12 of 32 attempts. William Donato was his top target, picking up 65 receiving yards.

Thaddeus Czarnecki produced another solid effort rushing for 187 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.9 yards per carry for Hilton Head Island. That's the most rushing touchdowns Czarnecki has posted since back in October of 2024. Jayvin Risher helped out on the ground, rushing for 107 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop England fell to 5-1. As for Hilton Head Island, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Coincidentally, Bishop England and Hilton Head Island will both be playing May River the next time they take the field. The Battling Bishops will head out to face the Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Seahawks will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
