Basketball Recap: Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf Falls to New Life Christian Academy in First Game of Season

Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to the New Life Christian Academy Warriors.

New Life Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Camden Tippette out in front who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Bailey, who shot 45% from the field en route to 12 points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North East Carolina Prep at 5:30 p.m. on the 13th. As for New Life Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mount Calvary Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
