Preview: Fleming Wildcats vs. Flagler Panthers

The Fleming Wildcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Flagler Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Friday, Fleming was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-39 to Caliche.

Meanwhile, Flagler entered their tilt with Genoa-Hugo/Karval with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Flagler walked away with a 39-32 win over Genoa-Hugo/Karval on Tuesday.

Flagler's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaylie Stone, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Stone has scored at least 25% of Flagler's points. Another player making a difference was Sydnie Berry, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Fleming's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Flagler, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Fleming took their win against Flagler in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 49-27. Does Fleming have another victory up their sleeve, or will Flagler turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
