Baseball Recap: Chimacum Comes Up Short

Chimacum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Klahowya Eagles, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 last Monday.

Chimacum's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Klahowya, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chimacum will face off against Cascade Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Cowboys' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Klahowya, they will take on Charles Wright at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tarriers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
