Football Game Preview: Apollo Ridge Vikings vs. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers

The Apollo Ridge Vikings will head out to face off against the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Apollo Ridge earned a 22-14 victory over Shady Side Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Our Lady of the Sacred Heart). They breezed past Ligonier Valley to the tune of 40-6 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Chargers considering their six-point performance the matchup before.

Apollo Ridge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, their record is now 2-3.

Things could have been worse for Apollo Ridge, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 26-7 loss to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
