Basketball Recap: Celina's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Celina waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Ansonia Tigers by a score of 46-35. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bulldogs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 509th, while the Tigers are ranked 239th).

Celina pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Ansonia, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

When Celina and Ansonia next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Celina will try to stop Marion Local's nine-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ansonia will take on Mississinawa Valley and their ten-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
