Basketball Game Preview: Evadale Rebels vs. Sabine Pass Sharks

Evadale is 8-2 against Sabine Pass since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Evadale Rebels will host the Sabine Pass Sharks at 7:00 p.m. Evadale will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Thursday, Evadale didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Brookeland, but they still walked away with a 65-60 win.

Jaden Gravis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Warren Brewer, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Sabine Pass was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Saturday as they fell 52-46 to Legacy Christian Academy. The defeat continues a trend for the Sharks in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Sabine Pass' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-10. As for Evadale, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Evadale strolled past Sabine Pass in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 41-23. Will Evadale repeat their success, or does Sabine Pass have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
