Baseball Recap: Pershing County Starts Season with Win Against Sparks

Pershing County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They skirted past the Sparks Railroaders 9-7. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Railroaders, too.

Michael Reitz was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Cade Liebsack was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Pershing County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-10 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 28th. As for Sparks, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Yerington on the 28th.
