Basketball Recap: Summit Country Day's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Summit Country Day lost to Walnut Hills back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Summit Country Day Silver Knights strolled past the Walnut Hills Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 64-47. Given the Silver Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Eagles are ranked 351st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Summit Country Day and bumps their season record up to 11-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Walnut Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Coming up, Summit Country Day will challenge Clark Montessori at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Walnut Hills, they are taking a road trip to face off against Anderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
