Soccer Recap: Paso Robles Comes Up Short

Paso Robles's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneer Valley Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 499th, while the Panthers are ranked 144th).

Paso Robles now has a losing record at 9-10-1. As for Pioneer Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paso Robles will host Righetti at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Righetti is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season. As for Pioneer Valley, they will take on Arroyo Grande at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pioneer Valley also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 3 goals per game.
