Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson County Tigers vs. Port Gibson Blue Waves

Jefferson County hasn't had much luck against Port Gibson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Jefferson County Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Port Gibson Blue Waves at 7:30 p.m.

Jefferson County is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Wesson.

Meanwhile, Port Gibson waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They slipped by the Bulldogs 43-42.

Port Gibson is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-15 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Jefferson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Jefferson County didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Port Gibson when the teams last played on January 3rd, but they still walked away with a 55-50 victory.
