Basketball Recap: St. Mary Takes a Loss

St. Mary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Quitman Wolverines an easy 66-42 win. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Wolverines are ranked 100th).

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Quitman, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

St. Mary will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Loyola College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th. Quitman and Summerfield will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
