Basketball Recap: Capital Takes a Loss

On Wednesday, the Capital Jaguars came up short against the Eldorado Golden Eagles and fell 63-56.

When it comes to explaining why Capital lost, don't look at Annica Montoya. Despite the final result, she posted 25 points. Jazlynn Turner was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Capital's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Eldorado, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season.

Capital wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-26 loss against Santa Fe on the 8th. As for Eldorado, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-45 win against Manzano on the 8th.
