Soccer Game Preview: Southridge vs. Westview

The Southridge Skyhawks will challenge the Westview Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southridge's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Southridge fell victim to Jesuit and their airtight defense on Monday. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Southridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Jesuit are ranked first).

Meanwhile, Westview also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 3-0 to Beaverton on Monday.

Southridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9-2. As for Westview, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2-1.
