Football Recap: Edgewater Skates Past Apopka with Ease

Edgewater put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Apopka Blue Darters, posting a 35-0 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Blue Darters are ranked 312th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Edgewater can attribute much of their success to Carter Emanuel, who threw for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Those 258 passing yards gave Emanuel a new career-high. A healthy portion of Emanuel's aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Cole Emanuel, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Edgewater's record now sits at 5-0. As for Apopka, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Edgewater has already played their next contest, an 84-6 victory against Lyman on the 26th. As for Apopka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 51-0 loss against West Orange on the 26th.
