Recap: Franklin Panthers vs. Smoky Mountain Mustangs

The Franklin Panthers posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They blew past Smoky Mountain 66-29 at home. With that win, Franklin brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.

Franklin was led to victory by Cali Queen and Avery Moffitt. Queen scored 17 points along with three steals, while Moffitt scored 18 points along with five rebounds. Moffitt continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Pressley, who scored 12 points.

Franklin pushed their record up to 8-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Smoky Mountain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Franklin will head out on the road to take on West Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully West Henderson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 last Thursday. As for Smoky Mountain, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Tuscola at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Tuscola focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
