Boiling Springs gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past the Bermudian Springs Eagles 21-9. This was payback for the Bubblers, who suffered a 5-3 loss the last time these two teams met.
Delaney Lawyer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Lawyer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Boiling Springs got a massive performance out of Kayla Fry, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Isabelle Allen was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
