Flag Football Recap: South Anchorage Takes Down Colony in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, South Anchorage rose to the challenge on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 32-13 win over the Colony Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 32-13 on Thursday.

South Anchorage's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jillian Preston, who threw for 296 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt. That's the most passing yards Preston has posted since back in September. Addison Bailey was Preston's top target, picking up 98 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while also rushing for 42 yards.

When it comes to explaining why Colony lost, don't look at Ella Richarson. Despite the final result, she picked up 99 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The win was the third in a row for South Anchorage, bringing their record up to 13-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.3 points over those games. As for Colony, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: South Anchorage beat the Knights by a score of 32-13 later that day.
