Volleyball Recap: Powell County Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Powell County had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fleming County Panthers by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Panthers last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Powell County's record now sits at 5-1. As for Fleming County, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Powell County will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Letcher County Central at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Fleming County, they will challenge Scott at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
