Soccer Game Preview: Mount Vernon vs. Lynden

The Mount Vernon Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Lynden Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Vernon's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mount Vernon's offense. They lost 5-0 to Ferndale on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lynden took on Burlington-Edison on Tuesday. The Lions' defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 4-0 shutout. Considering Lynden have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Mount Vernon now has a losing record of 3-4-3. As for Lynden, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
