Basketball Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short

Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Northwest Vikings and fell 68-28. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-17 back in December of 2024.

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Northwest, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14.

Northeast and Northwest could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. Northeast (ranked 350th) will meet Dickson County (ranked 151st) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Northwest will take on Rossview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 206 places (268 vs. 62).
