Baseball Game Preview: Heights Bulldogs vs. Nimitz Cougars

The Heights Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Nimitz Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Heights is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Randle just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 10-4 to the Lions.

Heights got a good showing from Aiden McCormick, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Heights saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris-Angel Jimenez, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Nimitz faced off against Houston Math Science & Tech on Saturday. Nimitz took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Houston Math Science & Tech.

Heights' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Nimitz, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything went Heights' way against Nimitz in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Heights made off with an 11-2 victory. Will Heights repeat their success, or does Nimitz have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
