Flag Football Recap: Aliso Niguel Comes Up Short Despite Emma Cox's Big Defensive Game

Aliso Niguel blew Beckman out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Beckman got their revenge. The Wolverines fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 34-32.

Even if they lost, Aliso Niguel's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Emma Cox was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two herself.

Aliso Niguel has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Beckman, they pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Aliso Niguel will face off against Newport Harbor at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sailors' defense has only allowed 6.7 points per game this season, so the Wolverines' offense will have their work cut out for them. Beckman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
