Basketball Game Preview: Cabrini Monarchs vs. Airport Jets

The Cabrini Monarchs will face off against the Airport Jets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Cabrini's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Airport has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.

Cabrini is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 77-44 victory over Pontiac Academy for Excellence. The Monarchs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Airport lost to Riverview at home by a 76-59 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 615th, while the Pirates are ranked 169th).

Cabrini has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points over those games. As for Airport, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.
