Wildcats look to defend D1 title after reaching NorCal semifinals in 2023.

The spring season is here, and MaxPreps kicks off its 2024 Sac-Joaquin baseball coverage by releasing the Top 25 preseason rankings.

Defending Division 1 section champion Franklin (Elk Grove) begins the season No. 1 while Whitney (Rocklin) is No. 2.

The season starts this afternoon as 43 games are scheduled around the section.

The following 25 teams are based on who we see as the top-ranked teams at the end of the season, not necessarily those who get off to the best start. MaxPreps will also maintain computer rankings throughout the regular season.
