Basketball Recap: Washington Montessori Comes Up Short

Washington Montessori was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Ocracoke Dolphins, falling 71-18. The Eagles lost against the Dolphins in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 35-14 score last time.

Washington Montessori's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Ocracoke, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington Montessori will challenge Jones at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ocracoke, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Albemarle School at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
