Softball Recap: Jonesboro Cardinals vs. Miller Grove Wolverines

After flying high against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate last Tuesday, Jonesboro came back down to earth. The Jonesboro Cardinals lost 13-6 to the Miller Grove Wolverines on Monday.

Makayla Lamar was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Mason, who went 3-for-3 with a home run and three runs.

Jonesboro has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Miller Grove, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. As for Miller Grove, they will host Drew Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
