Volleyball Recap: Warde Takes a Loss

Warde entered their matchup against Trumbull on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mustangs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Trumbull scored at least 11 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 23-25, 20-25, 15-11.

Anna Tremaglio paced Warde's offense, picking up 12 kills. Tremaglio got some help from Laila Henry and her 37 assists. Finally, Ivy Feay kept Warde's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Warde's defeat dropped their record down to 18-3. As for Trumbull, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Warde nor Trumbull have any future games scheduled.
