West Jefferson had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Toronto Red Knights 21-20. Winning may never get old, but the Roughriders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

West Jefferson's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Austin Buescher, who threw for 232 yards and a pair of touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (89 yards to be exact) went to Jackson Beatty, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

West Jefferson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Carter Romans.

West Jefferson's record now sits at 10-1. As for Toronto, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-2 record.

Looking ahead, West Jefferson will take on Fort Frye at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cadets' defense has only allowed 8.5 points per game this season, so the Roughriders' offense will have their work cut out for them. Toronto does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
