Basketball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chaparral was the 48-41 winner over Murrieta Mesa when they last played one another back in January of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Pumas fell 72-60 to the Rams on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Pumas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Rams are ranked 202nd).

Chaparral has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Murrieta Mesa, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Chaparral wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 81-58 loss against Vista Murrieta on the 13th. As for Murrieta Mesa, they have also already played their next contest, a 64-59 win against Great Oak on the 13th.
