Baseball Recap: Juan Diego Catholic Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Juan Diego Catholic entered their tilt with Stansbury on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged out the Stallions 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-7 last Tuesday.

Castle Huggard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Juan Diego Catholic is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 6-8 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Juan Diego Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lange Livonius, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Juan Diego Catholic's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Stansbury, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
