Baseball Recap: Villa Grove Gets the Win

Villa Grove took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Sullivan, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Redskins 5-4 on Thursday. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered an 11-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Thomas Vandeventer, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Villa Grove's record is now 3-5. As for Sullivan, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
