Softball Recap: Weymouth Comes Up Short

Weymouth fell victim to Newton North and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Weymouth's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Newton North, their win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Weymouth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newton North, they will head out to face off against Wachusett Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 2.7, the Mountaineers 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
