Recap: Flat Rock Rams vs. Airport Jets
If the Flat Rock Rams were riding high off their 52-26 takedown of the Jefferson Bears last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Flat Rock suffered a tough 53-30 loss at the hands of Airport on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Flat Rock has scored all season.
Mckenna Williams and Lily Klein certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Williams scored 12 points, while Klein scored five points along with ten rebounds. Klein also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Flat Rock struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Flat Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Airport, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Flat Rock and Ida will round out the year against one another at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th at. Ida will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Flat Rock is ranked 133rd). Airport will finish 2023 at home by hosting Lincoln at 11:00 a.m. on December 28th.
