Volleyball Game Preview: Argyle Scots vs. Lake George Lakers

Argyle is 1-9 against Lake George since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Scots will head out on the road to face off against the Lakers at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Friday, Argyle got the win against Hartford Central by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Scots.

One reason for the win was Argyle's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lake George, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Corinth 3-0 on Friday.

Lake George was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-21.

Argyle better keep an eye on Brooklyn Cornell. She was instrumental in Lake George's win, getting nine digs and one assist. That's the most digs Cornell has posted since back in September.

Lake George's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Argyle, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Everything went Argyle's way against Lake George in their previous matchup back in September, as Argyle made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scots since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
