Stevenson came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 72-43 win over the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Zee-Bees are ranked 362nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stevenson pushed their record up to 19-8 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points over those games. As for Zion-Benton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
