Volleyball Recap: Analy Starts Season with Victory Against Sonoma Academy

Analy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Sonoma Academy Coyotes. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Analy was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 19-25, 25-18, 25-15.

Leading Analy to victory were Isabella Romine and Sophia Broadbent-Bell. Romine had ten digs and four aces, while Broadbent-Bell had 18 assists and 12 digs. Broadbent-Bell has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last seven times she's played.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Analy will challenge Novato at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sonoma Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on St. Vincent de Paul at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Coyotes surely won't give up without a fight.
