Volleyball Recap: Kenston Extends Winning Streak to Three

Kenston barely beat Brunswick the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bombers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blue Devils on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Bombers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kenston was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21, 25-21.

Avari Amstutz paced Kenston's offense, picking up 20 kills. Amstutz got some help from Emily Grubich and her 19 assists.

Brunswick lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alexis Must, who had seven digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Ashlie Lieb, who had eight digs and two assists.

Kenston's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Brunswick, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Kenston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Revere on the 23rd. As for Brunswick, they will welcome Hoover at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
