Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-0 to the Seminole Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 17-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Seminole, their win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Roosevelt will take on Lamesa in a tournament on Saturday. Lamesa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Seminole, they will be taking part in a tournament against Alpine at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. Seminole also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 7.3 runs per game.
