Preview: Regis Jesuit Raiders vs. Grandview Wolves
The Regis Jesuit Raiders will be playing at home against the Grandview Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Regis Jesuit's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
Regis Jesuit stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 73-47 margin over Mountain Vista. 73 seems to be a good number for Regis Jesuit as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Regis Jesuit to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hana Belibi, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Belibi has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Jane Rumpf was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Grandview faced Arapahoe in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Grandview managed a 55-49 victory over Arapahoe on Friday.
Sienna Betts was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Grandview's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maya Smith, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Regis Jesuit has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Grandview, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
