Football Recap: South Dade Takes a Loss + How To Watch

South Dade extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-3. They fell 42-34 to the Columbus Explorers. Even if the Buccaneers couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Columbus' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with South Dade: they've now won five in a row.

Shawn James produced another solid performance rushing for 204 yards while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. His longest rush was for an incredible 85 yards.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. South Dade will challenge rival Palmetto at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. Meanwhile, Columbus is set to square off against their familiar foe Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
