Pyramid Lake had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 16-7 margin over the Wells Leopards on Friday. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Pyramid Lake is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Wells, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-7.

Pyramid Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wells, they will square off against Mineral County at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Serpents have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.29 runs per game on average), something the Leopards will no doubt try to take advantage of.
