Baseball Preview: Groveport-Madison Cruisers vs. Logan Chieftains
The Groveport-Madison Cruisers will head out on the road to face off against the Logan Chieftains at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Groveport-Madison will be strutting in after a victory while Logan will be coming in after a loss.
Groveport-Madison took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Reynoldsburg, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cruisers skirted past the Raiders 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Cruisers as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.
AJ Dykes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
