Baseball Recap: Cambridge Triumphs

It was a proper cat-fight when Cambridge faced off against Johnson on Saturday. The Cambridge Lions had just enough and edged out the Johnson Jaguars 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Lions have posted since February 20th.

The victory made it two in a row for Cambridge and bumps their season record up to 4-10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Johnson, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Cambridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-4 loss against Hargrave on the 11th. As for Johnson, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-3 defeat against Caney Creek on the 8th.
