Valley View entered their tilt with Thomas Jefferson on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Jaguars 14-3. Considering the Cougars have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Abbi Call made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, four RBI, and one double while going 4-for-4.
In other batting news, Valley View got a massive performance out of Taylor Cawley, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Hallett, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
Valley View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in five consecutive matchups.
